Bunk1 strengthens camp and family communications

As we start gearing up for summer camps, we’re pleased to let you know about Bunk1, a camp photo and message sharing service that takes hassle out of sharing pictures, handling camper mail and communicating with parents. Overall, Bunk1 empowers your camp to build stronger bonds with families, share interesting and important information, and promote next year’s camps easily and effectively.

Bunk Notes and information in the parent app

Features include:

- Bunk Notes and Replies, which make it faster for families and campers to send and receive letters while keeping your campers technology-free. Campers receive a letter template with writing prompts to complete in pencil or pen. When camp staff scan the bunk note, the barcode ensures that an image of the letter is automatically sent to the camper’s family.

- Support for videos in the mobile gallery to showcase activities at your camp.

- Custom push notifications and text messages that keep camp families up to date with camp activities all year long. Messages are easy to send directly from the Camp Director app.

Texas Trails Council, BSA Scout Shop Updates 2019

Advancement reports and awardsThe Scout Shop has setup a computer in the lobby for anyone who needs to enter advancement into Scoutbook, print out the Advancement report, and print the purchase order for the awards. Both Cub Scouts and Scouts BSA are moving away from advancement reports that are filled out by hand to reports that can be entered into Scoutbook and printed directly from Scoutbook. National Supply has discontinued blank advancement reports, meaning we can no longer order them. We politely ask that when submitting advancement that everything has already been entered into Scoutbook and printed out. In addition, you may use this computer if you need to take your "Youth Protection Training".
